Another Live Show, Baby!, by Wood and Strings Puppet Theatre, was presented June 19 at Frankfort’s Grand Theatre in the Summer Matinee series. I walked in thinking we would see puppets on strings but today we saw a bigger than life BABY!
The baby, in his first year of life, played and learned in his nursery. The production made a turn when the baby’s train introduced us to the program’s educational theme of PROBLEM SOLVING.
The Wood and Strings actors began the sharing the story of how this program and the props were created. They explained the SOLUTION and how they came to it MATHEMATICALLY. The actors, director and producer then explained how they used MEASUREMENTS, SIZE, SCALE, RATIO, PROPORTION, and DIMENSION to create the stage props, and baby head for the show.
AFTER THE SHOW Chris and I attended the PUPPET MAKING WORKSHOP.
Seeing through Touch is Chris’s BEST way to learn so he was invited to go back to the stage and see up close and personal all of the props used during the program.
THANK YOU WOOD and STRINGS for the VERY SPECIAL BACK STAGE TOUR for Chris!!
THANK YOU GRAND and STAFF for your kindness and support for Chris’s learning this summer!!!
