On the a trip to see the best of the national parks in the west, one would expect to be transporting enroute between parks for quite some time. We were on the bus for quite a while but I was nevr bored! The whole country was new to meand I kept my eyes peeled for photographic subjects, listened to Conrad’s educational words, wrote notes in my journal, edited previous images, and visited with my seatmate and travel partner, my mom. Every minute was worthwhile!

One stop made between national  parks was the National Oregon Trail Center, in Monteplier, Idaho. THis gallery of pictures focuses on the Uncommon Jounreys tour participants while we were visting the Oregon Trail Center. For more information on the Trail center go to
